Young Industries was founded by William
Young in 1958. Mr. Young was an aeronautical
engineer working at Lockheed Mfg. in San
Jose, California. His love of gardening
and understanding of aeration and venture
properties lead him to invent the Lawn Aerator,
still in our line.
His success in selling his first tool
encouraged him to design and manufacture
a variety of lawn and garden tools over
the next thirty five years.
The company was purchased by Ken Brilz
and Scott Miller in 1991. It was moved
to its current location in Suisun City,
5 miles from Napa, California. in 1992.
Five new products have been added to the
line since 1992.
Our current facility is 15,000 square
feet and employs 30 people. In addition
to garden tools our company produces plastic
and fiberglass products for customers
in Silicon Valley.
We dominate our segment of the garden
tool market, and we distribute products
to all fifty states, Canada, and the Far
East.
We have EDI capabilities, and ship most
orders within 24 hours.
